Our Shelter

On average we serve:
In Shelter Program: 22 Bed Shelter
Crisis Calls: 1500 per year
In person Crisis Counselling: 550 per year
Women who stay at shelter: 150 per year
Children who stay at shelter: 110 per year
Length of Stay: 27 days per woman
Occupancy Rate: 103% per day per year
Return to partner: 10%

Our Outreach and legal Advocacy Services

1. Hamilton Children’s Aid and our Community Advocate Program: 140 women used this services and 276 children

2. Community Transitional Worker( 1 worker): served 103 women living in the community

3. Jared’s Place Legal Advocacy Program:
Responded to 1800 calls for information and support
Women

Women Accessing Legal Advocate Services: 400 per year
Legal Peer Support Program: 20 volunteers offered support and court accompainment to women

4. Women Centre of Hamilton:
Approximately 400 new clients per year
Abuse Counselling: 127 women per year
Information and Referrals: 2,363
Groups: 24 per year
Peer Support Program: 73 women per year

5. Flamborough Women’s Resource Centre
Counselling: 65 per year
Groups: 5 per year
Information and Referrals: 350 per year
